Bellevue Square location launches December 31, with rain-linked discounts and opening-week activations

Bellevue, Washington | December 9, 2025 Vessi will open its first U.S. retail store on December 31 at Bellevue Square in The Bellevue Collection, just outside Seattle. Founded in Vancouver in 2018, Vessi is a digital-first footwear brand known for lightweight, waterproof knit sneakers built with its proprietary Dyma-tex waterproof membrane.

Vessi developed its reputation by creating waterproof everyday footwear designed to stay breathable and comfortable in wet conditions. The brand has sold more than two million pairs globally, with the Pacific Northwest representing one of its strongest regions by customer base.

Store overview

The Bellevue store marks Vessi’s first brick-and-mortar location in the United States. The store will carry the full footwear lineup and select outerwear, giving shoppers an in-person way to experience Vessi’s waterproof technology and fit.

“Opening our first U.S. store in the Seattle area is a natural next step for us,” said Andy Wang, co-founder and CEO of Vessi. “This region shaped the brand. People here live in the rain, and they expect their gear to keep up. A physical store lets us bring our technology and design to life, face-to-face with the community that’s been with us from the start.”

Opening week programming

To coincide with launch week, Vessi will run weather-linked discounts tied to local rainfall in Bellevue. In-store savings will increase with daily precipitation, tracked live online and displayed in store, with discounts updating automatically at checkout.

On rainy weekends around opening, Vessi will also run a street-level activation outside Bellevue Square. A branded tricycle will circulate through the mall area handing out dry socks in paper cones. Each pair includes an opening-week invitation to visit the store and unlock a launch discount.

Community initiative

The Bellevue location will participate in Vessi’s Soul4Souls program, accepting used shoes and clothing for donation.
