Through research and hard work, we were able to develop a proprietary waterproofing technology called Dyma-tex. A special knit made with millions of teeny, tiny holes in the membrane layer allowing for water in vapor form (sweat) and heat to pass through while keeping water molecules (which are too large to pass) from seeping into your Vessis.
This means the element-proofing with last the lifespan of your shoes - so, puddles beware!

If you normally wear a women’s shoe size, you might want to consider trying a men’s instead! Our shoe designs are unisex with the men’s being a tiny bit wider (1-2 mm). We also tend to have more stock of them. Just go one size down from your normal women’s one. If you’re a woman 7, that means you’re a men’s 6.
A quick note that our women’s Weekend collection runs one size larger than our other designs, so size down by two for this line.
Yes, we do! Simply select the 'Express Shipping' option at checkout, and get ready to receive your new Vessis within 3 business days after shipment (not including weekends or Canadian/US holidays).
Remember that delivery times don't include processing, however, which can take 1-3 business days more.

All Vessis have relatively low arch support due to being designed as a casual/lifestyle shoe. That said, the Weekend collection offers the strongest boost in that area!
This style would be best suited for those that require extra help in that department, and those Vessi lovers who would like to wear their shoes for longer periods of time - or during more active activities.
Need some handy tips for keeping your Vessis in tip-top shape? If you live someplace that salts their roads regularly because of snow, for example, be sure to rinse your Vessis on the regular since the salt can erode the soles of your shoes.
When removing your shoes, be mindful of taking them off with your hands rather than kicking them off with your feet. And while it’s not necessary, we do recommend wearing socks with your shoes to help wick moisture and prolong the lifespan of your pair

Keep in mind that while Quadpay doesn't have any extra fees, they do charge a $7 fee for late payments. They also charge an additional $7, one-time late fee, the first time an installment is 7 days past due.

Some of our Vessi color drops are limited edition runs. This means that once they’re sold out they’re not likely to come back.
That said, we’re always coming out with new shades - so keep an eye out for future drops!
It’s normal for the ankle opening to be quite firm to start! In order to make sure no water will enter through the shoe opening it’s important for new pairs to be snug enough to adapt to your foot shape over time.
The more you wear them, the more the upper knit and ankle opening will stretch to accommodate and create the perfect shape around your feet.
Not to worry, after a few more wears the ankle opening will have loosened up to become the perfect fit for your feet. We recommend a shoehorn in the meantime!
Vessis were designed as a casual lifestyle shoe for lightly active use. Short, light jogs are a-okay - and Vessis are great for easy non-technical hikes! For higher intensity runs, however, we'd recommend a proper running shoe.
As for swimming, Vessis are not meant to be fully submerged. While they are 100% waterproof, this is only up to the ankle opening. That said if water did get inside for whatever reason just let your shoes dry in a well-ventilated area and they'll be good for the next rainy day in no time.
Yes, they are!—Vessi's insoles are removable to fit custom insoles and orthotics, allowing you to maximize comfort and support to your liking.
Wearing Vessis without insoles can also free up some space, too. You can use thicker insoles to make up any extra wiggle room as well.

The midsoles are made out of lightweight EVA, and the outsole is made of rubber. There is a chance that you would have similar reactions to the rubber material.
Vessis are unisex, and designed for everyone equally!
Men sizes are 1-2 mm wider than the women's sizes. For ladies sizes looking for a wider fit, we recommend choosing a men's size for a more comfortable feel.
To find your size equivalent in the Men's collection, simply go one size down from your usual size. For example:
Women's 9 would be a Men's 8!

Yes, but be careful!
Your Vessis can handle a little splash from the pool, but try not to soak them in chlorinated or saltwater for too long. The chemicals might alter the Dyma-tex knit membrane, causing your Vessis to lose their superpowers (and their warranty).
If you do happen to get chlorine or saltwater on the knit, run them under warm water and use a non-solvent based detergent to clean them.
Our shoes are waterproof thanks to a special material we developed called Dyma-tex that contains millions of pores large enough for heat and moisture from our feet to escape, but small enough to prevent outside water from getting in!
So Vessis are way more breathable (and lightweight) than traditional waterproof footwear options like rubber boots. Waterproof shoes will always be less breathable than normal shoes, but we thought it was nice to have another option other than heavy, clunky boots in the rain!
Return & Exchanges
Gift certificates will be emailed to your email address on file on December 4th, 2021. They are valid on purchases made between on vessi.com or ca.vessi.com from December 4th, 2021 and January 31st, 2022 on orders over $80 before taxes and before applicable discounts.
Please note that items purchased with gift certificates will be considered a final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. They are a one time use only offer, and cannot be combined with other discounts, redeemed for cash, used to purchase gift cards, or refunded.
Unused gift certificates will automatically be cancelled on January 31st, 2022 at 11:59 PM PT.

Once you follow the instructions on the return/exchange center, you’ll be provided with a pre-paid return shipping label you can use to send your shoes back to us. You can also update your new delivery address via this process.

Once we receive your shoes back at our warehouse, we'll inspect the condition of your package. When its conditions are approved, we'll send your new pair right away or we’ll issue your refund - depending on the option you chose.
If you selected a refund, we will process this back onto your original payment method on file, as we’re unable to refund on any other method than the one you entered during check out.
Keep in mind that it can take your financial institution 7-14 business days to post this back onto your online banking statement.

Step 2: One of our warehouses in Chicago (IL), Richmond (BC), or Hong Kong process your order. This can take anywhere from 1 to 4 business days (not including weekends or Canadian/US holidays).
Step 3: Your order is picked up by the shipping company, and your Vessis make their way to their new home.
Step 4: You receive a shipping notification email along with tracking number you can use to follow along. Tracking numbers can take a day or two to activate once scanned into the courier's system, so you might not see any movement right away.

Sizing & Shoe Care
Vessis fit true to size! So, go with your most common US sneaker size. If you’re a half size, you can size up for a looser fit - or down for a more snug one.
The only exception to this is our Weekend collection in women’s sizes. Those run big, so size down one number from your most common shoe size.
Reach out to us if you want to double-check what’ll work best for you!
At the moment, we carry only standard sizes. But because of our very adaptable upper knit that stretches to the shape of your feet, half sizes often find that Vessis work for them anyway!
We recommend basing your size choice off your two most common sneaker sizes.
So if you're normally either a 10.5 or an 11 for example, we'd size up to an 11. If on the other hand, you’re between a 10.5 and a 10, size down to a 10!
Of course, if you like a looser fit size up. For a more snug feel, size down.
Up to you! Vessis are very breathable, so you can choose to go with or without socks.
However, we do recommend wearing socks because they tend to help wick moisture and heat away from your feet, improving comfort and preventing early wear of the shoe.
PS. We’re big fans of no-show socks and even carry some Vessi ones designed with our shoe style in mind.
While Vessi only come in regular width at this time, they fit a lot like a sock! They hug and stretch around your foot to adapt to your unique shape over time. So, if you’re a wider fit normally, you might find that Vessis still work for you.
Keep in mind that while our styles are unisex, the men’s sizes are wider with a bigger opening. This means that if you're a female looking for a wider fit, picking a smaller size from the men’s line may work since you’d get the room without adding extra length.
Just be sure to go one size down from your women's size to find your perfect fit. For example, a wide Women's 8 would be a Men's 7!

The Everyday & Slip-On

Super easy! For our Slip On, Everyday, Sunday Slipper, and Cityscape lines all you need is a clear detergent (yellow tint ones can stain the shoe over time), a soft sponge/soft bristle toothbrush, and some warm water. We generally recommend Dr. Bronner's if you have access to it. We've tested it in-house with great results.
Run your shoes under warm water, gently scrub the sole using the toothbrush and the knit using the sponge, and the dirt should come off! Then rinse well once more. After washing, please let shoes dry in a well-ventilated area, away from direct heat.
For the Weekend collection, you can throw those in the washing machine! Here are some tips for that:
- Machine wash cold, not hot
- Do not tumble dry, instead leave them to air dry instead.
- Wash on their own and not with other items.
Keep in mind that white styles do require a little extra TLC to keep them in tip-top shape. They need to be cleaned more often to ensure they stay looking fresh, but even with that, it’s likely they’ll show wear faster than darker colors due to the nature of the shade.
One last thing about cleaning. The sole can sometimes be more sensitive to stains than the actual knit since it's white and more porous. It's important to know that the sole isn't designed to be stainproof and that things like mud being left on for too long can create long-lasting stains.
