It is a very comfortable shoe. It is a nice alternative to my Blundstones which are waterproof but can get heavy due to its substantial sole. In terms of standing for 4+ hours, my feet do get sore afterwards and am happy to get them off when I get home. (Though I can say the same for my Blundstones as well.)
I would say I probably wouldn't wear them in heavier snow as there is zero tread. My Blunnies have a significant tread which makes it easier for me to trudge through the slush and snow.
During colder temperatures, my feet do get a bit cold due to the woven nature of the shoe despite wearing thicker socks.
I chose the black on black as it would be versatile for most of my clothes.
