It’s a good fit, like a glove on the foot and comfortable. On the downside, the band around the top can be a bit tight if you get a little bit of swelling around the ankles and you can’t loosen or tighten that part of the shoe. Additionally, can be a little difficult to manage putting on the shoe if you have some issues with grip of the hands/fingers. Overall I’m enjoying the shoes, just had to adjust by adding an insole and managing when I wear them.
It’s normal for the ankle opening to be a little firm to start. Over the first few wears of your new shoes you’ll notice that the upper knit and ankle opening will stretch to accommodate and create the perfect shape around your feet. The reason you want this is to make sure no water comes in through the ankle. The only way to ensure this is if you allow the shoe to mold to your ankle shape. In order to do that, you do need them to be tight at first and then only stretch when they’ve learned your specific foot shape. This creates that snug, sock like fit that we are loved for!
Not to worry, after a few more wears the ankle opening will have loosened up to become the perfect fit for your feet. We recommend a shoehorn in the meantime to help you put your shoes on. Glad you like them!
