Tell us a little about yourself!
I am a physical therapist still actively working in an orthopaedic clinic working to provide care for our patients and help people achieve their goals towards pain free healthy lifestyles.
Our daily operations have changed drastically since the start of this pandemic since our jobs are not able to be performed in a socially distanced manner but we are taking every precaution possible to still be able to provide the best care for the patients in our community.
We work and live in Montgomery County, PA, which was the first county to be shut down in PA when the pandemic began and has remained the second worst affected county in the state, so we still have a long way to go towards recovery.
Tell us about your #MakeWaves project.
Our company has started a running campaign where physical therapists across the company will pledge an amount of miles to run on May 30, with the goal of raising money to donate to the Montgomery County PA COVID-19 Response Fund, which provides relief funds to local small businesses and nonprofits most affected and in need due to the pandemics effects.
We as physical therapists are very active individuals so we decided to direct this motivation and energy to help contribute to the community that has suffered greatly during this time and which most of us across this company call home.
We have an overall goal of donating “100 miles” and hopefully $1000 towards this relief fund to make even a small difference on the road to recovery.

We are a group of active compassionate professionals looking to use our personal drive for bettering others to contribute towards the efforts supporting those most affected in our own community Excel Physical Therapy is a small PT company that has managed to make a huge impact on the quality of life of the patients in our communities.
I work specifically in the Horsham clinic and we have worked to develop this campaign to benefit those individuals suffering most as a result of this pandemic and being that our area is one of the worst affected in the state it is very close to our hearts and homes.
Please visit the GoFundMe page that we have created for sponsors to support us as we pledge miles running for COVID relief.
Your message to the community:
We are living in a scary time with a lot of unknowns and a lot of stress, but this is also a time that we can use to learn how to take care of ourselves and join together to support those around us who may be suffering.
It is a time of a lot of loss but can also be used as a time for growth. Even though people are distanced right now, there are tons of actions that can be taken to support each other from afar that can make a big difference.
