Masks For Volunteers & At Risk Individuals

Tell us a little about yourself!
I have many hats from being a stem cell scientist, Canadian forces medic, and dragon boater. All these communities I'm in have been greatly impacted by the outbreak. In particular, I feel that non-profits that I work with have been the most impacted, including a St. John Ambulance and KidStart Mentoring program.
I'd like to give back to these communities that have supported me.
Tell us about your #MakeWaves project.
Fabric/cloth face masks are now a known barrier to the spread of Covid-19 by decreasing droplets from the wearer. I'd like to equip first aid members at St. John Ambulance and KidStart volunteers.
As these organizations begin to come off of lock-down, these preventative measures will be very important to decrease the spread. $100 will allow me to source at least 100 masks if not more - enough to equip all St. John member's in the Richmond division and a large portion of members from PLEA KidStart.
